The Rize Commodity Exchange and Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the "Rize Tea Research and Application Center" project, which is financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, is the Program Authority of the Ministry of Science and Industry and Technology and the tea sector, one of the key sectors of the Eastern Black Sea region, has invested 10m euros in the development of tea producers.
Rize is examined by the central secretary İsmail Kocaman and related staff to be run in the context of the Mercantile Exchange. The Rize Tea Research and Application Center, planned to open in September this year, will consist of a tea production packaging facility and ARGE laboratories. Tea production plant; black, green, organic tea will be produced. In the center, researching the products in the world market and different tea varieties will be determined and the technological production techniques will be adapted to the region and tea diversity will be increased. In addition, studies on the branding of Rize tea will be supported and domestic and foreign promotions will be held.
